Eastwood Graduation

A few days before leaving for GUCI, I celebrated a major milestone in my life: I graduated from 2nd grade and said goodbye to Eastwood Elementary School.  Prospect, here I come.

The neat thing about graduation at Eastwood is that the 2nd grade students process down the sidewalk with 1st graders on one side and kindergarteners on the other side (and parents behind them).  The tradition is that students give the 2nd graders "high 5s" as they process.

Just a fun picture with Ruby, Mia, Kyra, Sasha, and Shannon.

I'm off on a new adventure for the next 12 nights -- GUCI, the Goldman Union Camp Institute.  It's a Jewish summer camp in Zionsville, Indiana.  Mommy and Daddy and Grandma Arlene and Gabi and Alice and I drove there yesterday to start a new phase of my young life: overnight summer camps.

The first thing I needed was a foot locker.  We found one and decorated it with my name and butterfly stickers.

Here we are, all loaded up in the car.

In the cabin.  I have a top bunk.  Becky, a friend from Temple, is sleeping below me.

Here's the sign outside of my cabin.  Not sure how they knew that I like princesses...

And here's a group picture on the first day.  All 13 of us and the 3 counselors.
