I'm spending this week in Pittsburgh, camping out with Grandma Arlene and Grandpa Bill.  They're treating me SOOOOOO well -- I don't know that I want to go back to Oberlin.

Uncle Jason and Aunt Meredith picked me up from camp yesterday and took me to their house.  Good thing I had my bathing suit, because it's so hot.

The Daisy Scouts Visit Build-a-Bear

Daisy Scout Troop 191 was so successful selling cookies this year that we had money to go to Build-a-Bear for a party.  Good thing they have a special Daisy Scout Bear.

Daddy had the pleasure of taking me for the party.  Here we are, sitting at the naming computer, before the party got started.

I bet you didn't know that the bears come empty.  Here I am holding my bear skin.

We played a game while we filled the bear with stuffing.  The Build-a-Bear folks put a lanyard around our neck.  On the lanyard was a picture of a Disney character.  The Daisy Scouts gave clues to each girl as the bears were filled up.  I got Tinkerbell and guessed it after just a few clues.

We had choices about filling the bear: leaving it soft or super stuffed.  I chose soft...

...and I chose very wisely!

Tada.  Dov is done, perfect in her Daisy Scout uniform.

The best part about Build-a-Bear is not the bears but the accessories.  Here are a couple that Daddy really liked.  Yes, those are Pittsburgh Steelers clothes.

And this is the tractor that Daddy really wanted to buy for Dov.  But I wouldn't let him.

Kindergarten Books

One of the things that I really loved about Kindergarten was that Mrs. Freda had us make lots and lots and lots of books.  Mommy and Daddy found this one in the pile.  I'm really proud of it.

Kindergarten Graduation, part 2

Mommy's friend Romi is here visiting and she came to the graduation ceremony yesterday.  She took some pictures too.

This is Mrs. Freda, the best kindergarten teacher I ever had.

The proud parents.

Here I am with Luisa Ferrazza.

Kindergarten Graduation

June 7, 2012 is a day that will live in infamy.  I've graduated and I have finished kindergarten.  It was a great experience -- I met lots of nice people, I learned lots of stuff (including addition and subtraction), and I have tons of fun.  Mrs. Freda was a wonderful teacher and I'm sad to be leaving her class.

Mrs. Freda had a graduation ceremony:  you can watch it online at  Hopefully the volume is good this time.

If it's not to your liking, here are some pictures.

We entered the library to Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance

We stood in nice, neat lines to sing a song and recite a poem.

We hammed it up a bit.

We got graduation certificates and shook Principal Rybak's hand.

We had a photo-op.

Afterwards, we had a picnic lunch in the back yard at Eastwood.  I had a hot dog.  Like my new, waterproof cast?
