Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa left yesterday, but not without leaving me a present. This is the best present I've received in the last week and I love to play with it.

For some reason, I don't think that Mommy and Daddy like it as much as I do. I wonder why...

The Great Outdoors

Grandma Gail and Grandpa Joe are here right now, helping out while Mommy and Daddy care for the new babies. They brought a tent with them so we did a little camping the other night.

Is there anything as American as camping and apple pie?

I'm a Big Sister!

It's finally happened -- the babies came out of Mommy's tummy. Gabi Kimiye Levy (on the left) and Alice Miyake Levy (on the right) were born on June 4 really early in the morning. Mommy and the babies had to stay in the hospital for a little while but everyone is doing well now.

The Community Garden

Mommy and Daddy have long wanted to do something with the plot at the end of our driveway. We've grown some veggies and basil there before but a dramatic overhaul was sorely needed. Thanks to Grandma Arlene's seed money (get it, seed--garden) and Grandma Gail's helping Daddy build the raised beds, we're in business.

This is the eastern bed -- it has three kinds of basil and some cilantro. Also, note the pot in the back -- that's mint.

Here's the middle bed -- it has two kinds of tomatoes (one red and one yellow) along with lots of marigolds. You know, to kill garden pests.

The western bed is my baby -- it has red peppers, yellow peppers, green peppers, watermelon, and muskmelon (like a cantaloupe).

Here we are, digging in the dirt. I helped dig holes and fill the dirt around the plants.

No caption needed. Just a nice picture by Mommy.
