Sunday in the Park with Larkin

Spring has finally arrived in Oberlin, which means that it's time to get out to the playground and run around like a mad woman.

Daycare was closed yesterday so I spent the day with Mommy. First we went to school so her students could take their midterm exam; I enjoyed following her through the maze of desks in her classroom as she walked around a few times to answer questions. Then I played on Tappan Square, had lunch, and took a nap.

After nap, Mommy invited her friends Joy and Ellen, and their daughters Larkin (2) and Tess (2 months) over to play and make calzones for dinner. It was really fun to help stirring the filling, flattening the dough, and holding the trays!

Dr. Seuss Day

Every year at the Oberlin Public Library there is a Dr. Seuss Day. Dr. Seuss happens to be my most favorite author right now--whether it's the hilarious antics of the Cat in the Hat, the goofy wackiness of that Fox in Socks, or the zany rhyming of Sam-I-Am, I really can't get enough of the books.

I may not look real happy but I did enjoy myself. Here I am doing my best impersonations of some of my favorite characters:
