- I'm 33 inches tall.
- I weigh 25 pounds, 12 ounces. That's a big gain from the last doctor's visit. I'm now at the 75th percentile.
- I don't really mind having shots. I got 4 today, 2 in each thigh, and while I did cry for a little while, I was babbling and having a good time in the car on the way home. I do, however, detest being poked and prodded. I also have good reflexes.
Other than the doctor's visit, here are some other things that are happening. Mommy went to Japan last month for a vacation with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Steph. One of the things that Mommy bought for me was a xylophone. As you can see below, I like it.
I have officially moved from the word of infant to the world of toddler. I basically walk everywhere now, with one big exception: the stairs. I tackle the stairs in one of two ways: either I crawl down backwards or I slowly shimmy down on my tush. I much prefer the crawling but if there's something I want to see while I go down, the tush is the way to go.
Teeth are a GREAT thing. I've got 16 of them at this point and they let me eat almost anything (except for nuts and honey, of course--those have to wait for a while). I really love steak and chicken, but I also love Triscuits and cheese. I've even been known to sample ethnic food like hummus and spicy Indian side dishes.
The next thing Mommy and Daddy are waiting for is talking to start. I do talk: I say "da-da" or some variation thereof all the time. The problem is that they don't know what I'm refering to. Sometimes I'm trying to get Daddy's attention. Sometimes I want something. I just don't have the words quite yet. "Ma-ma" slips into my conversations from time to time as well. One of these days--look out world! The full sentences are going to come pouring out.
That's about it for now. More when I've got some time. You'll see me playing in the yard, moving weeds to the garbage can, and wearing lots of awesome hand-me-downs from my cousins.
